Question Wheel lock lugs

Does anyone know where I can get wheel lock lugs for the 17" Alloy wheels. A local NAPA dealer told me that the Ford studs are very odd and no-one, not even Mcgard makes locking lugs for them. Also interested in the spare tire lock. Any help......

Exclamation

I received an E-mail today from Michael C. Cid of Mcgard (mcid@mcgard.com). He told me that locks are now only available through Ford Dealerships. For the 2000 F-150 (which should also fit all 1997-2000 F-150's I'm guessing), the wheel lock # is: F85Z-1A043-AA, and the spare tire lock # is: XC35-1A380-AA.

That's good. Just make sure they aren't more than $25. If they are check somewhere else. I've seen them from $19 all the way up to $35 around here.

The Ford Locks are a good choice since if you ever lose the key you can go back to your Ford dealer and they can order a new one for you. They retail for $35.00. So, expect to pay that, any less and you got a real deal on them!

That's exactly the price the dealer quoted me. It's a little more than I expected, but he also told me that the new trucks come with a spare tire lock, so at least I don't need to buy that, too. Ford will even install the locks for you, but will charge 1/2 hour labor. I think I can handle that one myself.

Frank S, I have the exact same wheels you got.
And I brought the McGards same part number you have. The only reason I did not put them on was because it sticks out to far. Is your like that or someone pulled a fast one on me?
If I left it on I could use a visegrip to twist the lock off since it stuck out that much and looks kind of funny also. steve

selva1, you say the new 2000s come with a spare tire lock? I have a 2000 and its just like my 97, you need to verify this with your dealer, but I guess we all can trust our dealers.....Ha Ha

MIF-150: I just looked at them and they stick out about a half inch more than the regular lugs. It's not that noticeable to me. I always tighten the lugs to 100ft/lbs. You're probably right about someone using a vise grip though, but then they take a chance of damaging the wheels.
