Broken Studs
To the people with the most knowledge about our fine trucks. I installed 33" Swampers on Centerline Rims, and my truck obviously hates them. The right front has spit off 4 lugs, and broken two studs. I torqued the $hyt out of them when I installed, to no avail. I only have 1000 miles on this combo, and this is getting expensive. I am taking it to the dealer today (on three lugs) to hopefully get it fixed (just noticed the other broken stud) and am hoping they can tell me something. I'm glad I got extra lugs when I bought the rims. Thanks

Did you order Centerline wheels specifically made for your truck? F150's are hubcentric, meaning the wheels are centered on the center hub (that's why the tight fit) rather than being centered by the lugs. Being hubcentric, the weight is carried by the center hubs. The lugs/lug nuts purpose is to hold the wheel against the disc and are not designed to carry a load. If you purchased lugcentric wheels, the lugs are carrying the weight as well a holding the wheel against the discs which often leads to lug failure. Overtorquing can also lead to lug failure in addition to warping your discs.
Don't know if this is your problem but it's a good place to start. The problem could be faulty lugs which is common on the 150.

KS, I believe they are for my truck. It was hard to find any rims due to the 5x135mm bolt pattern. I would have thought Centerline would have did their homework and made the rims hubcentric. They were a bear to get on, so that part seems right. Overtorqueing could be a problem, but only the right front?? When the new studs get put in, I'll have the dealer be sure to torque them to the right specs and see what happens next.
hey if you put to much torque on the bolts when you hit a pot hole, the wheel has no play ,no play and something has to brake.ford says 85 to 90 LB is good.if you put to much on the wheel your roters will all so wharp to.
