Cool 4 X 2 Tires

I know this question is asked alot but I have a 1997 F-150 SWB. I bought the truck with Prime polished wheels on it. They are 16s and thats all I'm sure of. I think they might be 8 or 9 inches wide. The truck still has the stock 235/70's on it and I am wanting wider and maybe a little taller. I was thinking of 275/60 16's but was not sure if they would stick out of the fenders. I have lowered the back of the truck 2" to level it and want to fill the fender wells with tires. Has anyone tried a 275/65/16? I saw a set of those on a dodge the other day and they looked too big. I don't want a 4X4 i already have one of those. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me in this matter.

If they are the OEM 16" Wheels they are 7 inches wide. The 17 inch OEM wheels are 7.5 inches wide.
