How big of tires will fit

I have a xlt 2000 reg cab flareside 4x4, I want to put 16x8 AR pythons on and I am not sure how big of tires I can go with...It is stock, but I want to go as big as possible. Any help?

You can probably fit 315/75-16's (35x12.50-16) if you crank up your torsion bars and trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower plastic valance. You could fit a 305/70-16 (33x12.50) pretty easily also. I doubt if you would have to do anything to mount 33's on a 16x8 inch rim.

Thanks for the reply, I will go with 305's, sounds like they will be just about what I am looking for.

315/75/16s will not fit on a stock F150 on an 8" wheel with no rubbing. The only way that will work is if they're on stock wheels, but that will accelerate wear on the tire. A 305/70/16 on an 8" wheel will most likely require some trimming of the fender flares and the front valance to avoid any rubbing.
