Nice tires. I too plan on putting those tires on my truck when it gets here. hay could you do me a favor and measure the diameter of those tires on your truck. I know several people who have 315/70/r17's on there rigs and they only measure 33.75 thats 3/4 inch smaller than bfg's specs say they are suposed to be. I plan on getting the 285/70/17's are suposed to have a diameter of 32.8. it would be greatly appreciated if you or any one else who has these tires on there truck could measure the diameter for me. Thanx

31.75.....that is from the ground to the apex of the hump in the middle of the tread. if the weight of the truck was off the tire so you could measure apex to apex it may be a bit taller....probably a 1/4 inch.

hope I helped

I love the ride of this tire. I just got rid of a set of Big O's or maybe I should call them Big Zero's

BFG's all the way I am very happy

Guys, tire manufacturer's measure the tire unmounted, without any weight on it. That's why their measurments are taller. The tires don't have the weight of a 5000 lb. truck making them flex.

I don't know if it is the best size but the tires you're considering are what I chose.

those tires look good enough for me. I look forword to getting them when my truck gets here in 3 weeks or so. I still wander why those tires are so much more expensive than the 315/70/r17's don't make much sence to me.

Pics look good. Ihave 285/70/17 Wrangler MT/R's and I love them. I think the 285 is about the best size also. SOme people say there are rubbing issues and things with the 305's and abouve and I just don't wnt to mess with things like that. I take my truck off road alot and suspension travel is more important than a little larger tire that rubs.
