Question 1999 ORP Tire Package

I have a 97 with the ORP and my 17' wheels have Goodyear Wrangler RT/S 265/70/17. The tires on the 99's look more aggressive, what are they? I realize different dealers go with different brands (Firestone, Goodyear, etc) Id like to hear what the are.

Thanks!

The '99 ORP came standard with the following wheels/tires:

Chrome Steel Wheels, (5) LT265/70R17 All Terrain OWL Tires (Goodyears)

Ive got the aluminum wheels...like on the Expedition. I went out today and noticed that all the 99's with chrome 17 inch wheels had the Goodyear AT like Bear said. All the 17 inch aluminum wheels (like mine) had the RT/S. Can anyone compare/contrast these two tires.

Mine are very good road tires and offroad they arent to bad either. The backend does tend to slide out alittle in rain or snow (but most trucks do). How do yours sound, ride and handle Bear?

Cool

In my experience, the goodyear tire sucks. Especially the RT/S. One word of warning, keep your goodyears on pavement. They do not like gravel roads.

I like the AT/s tires. I was back in the woods trying to get my two-person bass buggy into the water yesterday. The night before we had a heavy rain. I slid off into a ditch and although the tires wouldn't pull me out of the rut, they sure did keep me moving back and forth in the soup! For not being mud tires they did pretty good.

The highway ride is nice too. That is were most of my driving is done. On rare occasions I hear the tires hum but most of the time it goes unnoticed.
