Question Wheels

I bought 4 new Ford Lightning style rims from an Estate sale. The size is 18x9.5 with a 5x5.5 10mm lug pattern.I know these will not fit the 99 and up Lightnings.Does anyone know what they will fit??

Thanks

Lightning wheels

Hey Kmad!

May I ask how much you paid for your lightning wheels? I have a 1998 XLT Flareside and was wondering if the lightning wheels will fit. What modifications should i perform?

Thanks,
ed

Those wheels will fit 96 and older Lightnings, F150s, and Broncos. They will not fit any 97 and newer F150s, Lightnings, or Expeditions. The only way to make 96 and older wheels with a 5x5.5" bolt pattern work on a 97-03 bolt pattern (5x135mm) is with wheel adapters, but those are not a good idea at all. They cause alot of problems such as acclerated bearing, steering, and brake wear. They are also prone to failure in some cases too. Best thing to do is buy wheels drilled specifically to fit the bolt pattern you have and not jerry-rigging something else to fit.
