Brakes

I have a question for who ever want to give me a hand. I have a 1997 ford F-150 and no matter how many times I change the brake pad and drums it’s still not stopping. When I hit the brake in stop and go traffic at about 30-50mph it feels as if the brake pad has crystalized and it only sliding against the disk/drum.

Have you purged the brake fluid? Moisture can build up in DOT 3/4 and the contaminated fuild will make the system mushy to where the pistons will not fully expand.

When I change my pads (I have disk front/rear) I will buy a quart of fluid and bleed until it runs clear on all rotors. I also only use DOT 4 silicon fluid on my cars and trucks.
