Brake Pressure

I have 98 F150 4x4 4.6L .When I hit the brake pedal to stop, it feels like there is no pressure in the lines to stop. I have to push all the way down to the floor to stop. I have replaced the front and back brakes and no change. Sometimes I don't i'm even going to stop. Does anyone know what could be doing this?

Poss. bad master cylinder. Look for weep of fluid at the back of the cylinder. Is the res. full of fluid. You might try bleeding the system and see if it improves it any. I would not mess around with it too much if it is as bad as it sounds. Lots of things you can life with but not being able to stop is a sure way to get into serious trouble.

Ok I will look for any leakage around the master cylinder. I have bleed the system and the resvior is filled, but I still have the same prolbem. So I'll check in to what you said. Thanks
