Hi,
Just traded my 98 Xlt in on a new 03 Supercrew 2 weeks ago.I have put 240 miles on it.Since I brought it home I get a LOUD growling from the rear discs when I let off the brake pedel.It only does it when Im creeping. Ive never had rear discs before so I dont know if this is normal or if I should take it in to the dealer.
Thought at first maybe they just needed broke in but after 240 miles I would think that they are. Any help or feedback would be greatly appeciated. Thanks

 

I just bought a 2003 Supercab that does the same thing. It just sounds to me like its gripping good. Like you said it only does it wheen you creep. Mine is worse when I back up, stop, and put it in drive. Its usually loud when I let off the brake as it starts to roll. I wouldnt worry about it.

Yeah mine does it too. I believe they have a TSB for it. Next time I take my truck in I will ask the dealer about it.
