Anyone running 305/70-17's on stock rims with no mods for a 4x4?

Looking at the BFG's and wanted to know if they rub.

A lot of people have said the should fit but I want to know from some one who has them if they fit good.

Do they stick out on the side and would require some fender flares?

Or would it be better to go with the 285/70-17's since they are about the same height just 1" narrower.
