Brake pads for a 98 Ranger

I have a 98 Ranger. This has been going on for about 10K miles since I've owned it. I can drive around without a washing for about 2 months, or even longer and the front wheels barely, I mean just a smidge of brake dust on them. Now I've heard that some of the newer vehicles have those "kleen pads" on them or whatever there called and desigined to help keep brake dusting to a minimum. My ranger has 50K on it and this has been going on since I bought with 40K miles on it. Brakes never made a sound, not even so much as a hint of a noise or funny feelings. So, which leads me to think that they have been replaced sometime ago with original equipment stuff. Main question here is, do Rangers come with those new clean pads or are they just wore out????? havn't looked at them yet but yes I know I need too with that mileage on it. Clean pads or what?? thanks,,,,91
