Will these fit.

I've been offered a great deal on a set of American Racing 15" Baja wheels with 32" tires. Does anybody know if these will fit my 2001 F150 SuperCrew?

I don't THINK that they will - but sure that someone who knows for sure will chime in. I believe that you will have a problem with your brake calipers, among other things.

I would also tend to be seriously doubtful that they would fit. The only way to be sure is to "try them on." Otherwise, you could find out the minimum inside diameter of the new wheels and find out (from a Ford Dealership) what the minimum clearance is for the discs and calipers.

I know the rotors are just over 12" in diameter. Divide this in two for radius and you get 6". A 15" wheel would have a maximum possible inner radius of 7.5" (which is overly optimistic). This leaves only 1.5" for caliper. Doesn't seem like it's going to work to me. And you definitely don't want to put any smaller brakes on than are already there. We have enough problems with the existing system's inadequacy.

But again, I'm not absolutely sure; just playing with numbers.

Further consideration must be made to whether or not they'd even fit your bolt pattern in the first place. You have a 5 x 135 bolt pattern.

Hope this helped. Good luck.

I know I've heard of a very few who have done it over the years - as stated before the brake clearance is the problem.

If the rims are coming off of anything other than a '97-03 F series or expedition, they won't fit because of different bolt patterns - our trucks use a 5 on 135mm spacing. The only trucks with the pattern...

Thanks guys. You've helped me a ton. Looks like I'll just have to get bigger tires and stick with the stock rims.

Do a search, this has been done before. If I remember correctly, you have to re-route the brake lines some to get the 15" wheels to fit.

Sorry I can't help anymore, I just recall reading posts in the past about people making 15" wheels fit so I know it can be done.

15's won't fit on 99-03 F150's. The rear brakes are too large. There are one or two wheels that have the 5x135mm lug pattern that would fit on 97 and 98 F150's but they only had around 2 1/2 inches of backspacing. This caused the rims to stick way out and cause tire clearance issues. It will be a lot easier to put 16x10 or 17x10 inch rims on your truck with the proper 4 1/2 inch backspacing. THis will allow you to fit 33x12.50 tires on you truck without a lift. You may have to crank up the torsion bars or trim the front bumper's lower plastic valance, but they will fit a stock truck.
