Intermittent ABS light
Intermittent ABS light
1999 2wd F-150
I had new pads and rotors put on the front about 6 weeks ago. Ever since then, my ABS light has come on a few times. It will come on at a random time, and stays on until you turn the truck off. When you turn the key back on, the light is off again.
It's been getting more frequent, and now I have noticed something. I can get it to come back on by taking my foot off the brake and quickly jumping on the gas. Do that a few times in a row, and the light will come back on.
Two questions: 1.) Any ideas on what it could be? 2.) No ODB codes, do you have to plug into the ABS system somewhere else?
