Avoid overspray on tires
Avoid overspray on rims
I tried this. I used a peice of cardboard and made a templet of my rim. Just inside of the lip. Transfered that to a peice of 1/4 in. plywood. Clued a wood cabinet handle to it in the center. So now when I spray Black Magic om my tires I don't get any on my rims.

I dont mind getting Black Magic or ArmorAll on the rims because although dust sticks to the rims it also keeps brake dust from staining the rims and it all washes off easily at the next cleaning.
Now bleach and acid based cleaning products are a different story, they will eat up the clear coat on your rims or at least stain & discolor them.

Meguiar's Endurance Gell........works great and no possibility of overspray!
