Help Tires & wheels for 2003 F150

I am looking to put new tires & wheels on my 2003 F150 FX 4x4 . Does anyone know what the biggest tires i can put on without a lift and the size of rims i would need. I have the stock 17" tires on them now and looking to get as much meat under the truck without a lift. Thanks

This has been discussed a million times, sorry. I have the 285/70/17's. There are some with 305 or 315/70/17's that fit I guess. I didn't go with the larger tires as I didn't want them to rub and the price was good. Good Luck

The largest tire and wheel combo you can fit on a late model F-150 4x4 is a 33x12.50 (305/70) on a 16x10 or 17x10 inch rim. To fit these you will need to crank up the torsion bars and/or trim the front bumper's lower plastic valance. I have seen some members also do this to fit 315/70-17's (35x12.50) on the stock 17x7.5 inch rims. The 35's will not fit with a wider aftermarket wheel without a lift though.

nofearko, let me know if you decide to change your wheels & tires, I would be interested in buying your stock FX4 wheels & tires and am located in south Kansas City metro. Thanks Eric
