Question pad replacement

with 39k on my 2001 sport I want to replace the pads before things go south. I would like to go with a composition that does not leave my paint (white) with all those nice little rust spots that I believe are a product of the oem pads. The folks at Ford call that stuff RAIL DUST but it sure looks as if it comes off the brakes. Can anyone recommend a pad that can solve this unsightly problem and give good life and performance? Thanx!

I'm not sure about rail dust but a local auto supply shop has Bosch Brake pads. Has anyone tried them and are they worht using. Lifetime guarantee on them and middle of the road price.

Any thought or info would be great.
