Tire size comparison

I have a 1999 F150 Supercab 4X2 with a 4.6 motor. I will need to

replace the existing tires, which are Goodyear GT II in the size of

275/60 by 17. What are the issues with changing to a tire size of

265/70 by 17?

I am considering getting Michelins in the 265/70 size.

Thanks for any responses.

A 265/70 17 is going to be just a tad bit narrower but quite a substantial bit taller than your 275/60 17. Not a good swap. I don't think you are wanting to go that much taller??
