Talking Time for Larger Tires?

I have a 2000 F150 4X4 and was wondering if anyone out there knew what the largest size of tire that I can put on without a lift.

The largest tire and wheel combo that will fit on a stock 97-03 F-150 4x4 is a 305/70-16(33x12.50) on a 16x10 inch rim. They will fit, but you will have to crank up the preload on the torsion bars and/or trim the front bumper's lower plastic valance.

The biggest tire you can use without rubbing would be 285/75/16

I also have a 2000 4x4 ORP and just installed 305/70/16 ProComps on 16x8 rims with a little torsion bar adjust and no valance trimming. No rubbing and I don't have a lift.

Cool, thanks for the info. I was hoping that I could 33" tires on without a lift.

33's on a 4x4

Depending on the width of the rims you are purchasing, that will determine what will fit. I just put 285/65/18 BFG all-terrain on my chrome L wheels (18x9 1/2). They fit with no torsion bar turning, and no valance trimming. Granted I don't go off-roading. Good luck.
