Odd Brake Issue, Need Advice

Yesterday, my front brakes locked up like crazy when I was only going about 5 MPH. Actually, I'm not even sure if it was brake lock, because I didn't hear any rubber screech, I only felt the front end start shaking. I just figured I hit a patch of ice, but this morning it did it again. I know it isn't ice because it really isn't all that cold here today. Anbody out there have a clue what might be going on? I'd appreciate any advice, I think I'm going to take it to the dealer tomorrow, so I'd like to have something more to say than "the brakes aren't working right."

If the brakes are a bit damp, at low speeds until they dry themselves off they will grab in the front at low speeds. This happened to a lot of us a while back, and this is all that we came up with. I don't even think that we had a fix for it except for "be extremely careful until you get moving at a good rate of speed. They will dry themselves when they have been used enough (on that particular drive), such as driving on the interstate and braking to a stop at the end of an exit ramp. If it only does this at first, then that is what's up with them. Sorry that I could not be of more help than this.

Pickup Man,

Well, that is exactly what the dealership told me was happening, that is, the brakes were a little wet and just needed to dry off. Thanks for the help.
