Question Choosing new wheels

I am considering new wheels for my 99 f150 4x4 sport. The wheels fit the bolt pattern, but the lug nuts will not fit in the wheels because the holes are narrower than the flat washered lugnuts that came with the aluminum wheels and the wheel does not fit tightly on the hub like the aluminum stock rims. There is a space between the hub and the wheel center.
Will the wheels work alright? What kind of lug nuts do I need to get and will the rotor be affected by not having the wheel (hubcentric) fit right on the hub?

Thanks, Wintersux in Illinois

slooow down there buckaroo,
rephrase the question, I am sure you will find help. As you state it, well, it hardly makes sense. I am guessing, off hand you have 14mm lug "bolts" in your hot little hand and a 12mm holes to squeeze em into. to this the short and sweet is, uh no.
If your question is something other than the big bolt/stud small hole problem you may want to rephrase the question. As it seems you may want to look into another set of wheels for your truck. there are some really nice cheap wheels out there American, Rockcrawler are just a couple, but if you are having a problem with the hole, it is not a good start, no matter where you apply that logic. But seriously, you have offset and width to worry about as well, has that been a consideration?
Good luck, but as far as wheels go, it can be a headache fitting wheels from one car to another, beware.
Now that you have read this go on and think on it over a beer

The new wheels are 5x135 aluminum wheels and are not hubcentric, the offset and fit works on my truck. I have put the wheel on the front rotor. I have lugnuts that have the flat washer on the wheel side because I have 16x8 aluminum stock wheels on the truck that are hubcentric. I will be needing a lugnut that fits into the hole on the wheel rather than flat against the wheel. The lugnut washer will not fit in the holes on the wheels and since the wheels are not hubcentric they will have to center on the lugs of the rotor/rear drum. It is not a matter of the stud size.

My main question is, will this eventually damage the rotor? Where is the best place to get the 12mm lugnuts I need?

Regarding the lug nuts, The easy answer is to take your wheel to a Tire/Wheel store or your local pep boys/auto parts store. It is important to get the right taper to the nut. IF it is different it will not seat properly and will scar the rim. If the Wheel "experts" can't help you, I would get in contact with the manufacturers of the wheel and see what they have to say regarding the previously mentioned nuts.

If the wheel fits the offset and width, and the bolt pattern is 5x135 (ford only) it should be fine. It seems your big holdup is the lug nuts

Good luck
