question on tire/gear sizes

Wanting to know if anyone is running 315-70-16 (or 17) tires with 3.55 gears.(or 35x12.50's for arguments sake)
I really want to move up to this size when I complete my 4" rancho lift (hoping I have enough room) but dont want to hurt the transmission or anything else. Will consiter a gear swap but dont want to if I dont need to! Seems that the ability to turn off the od on these trannys should really help in a scenerio like this. Any feedback is welcome!

Bigger tires equal less lbs force; you'll gain ft (bigger tires) and lose lbs (force) from the torque (ft-lbs) generated at the axle. Percentage of lost will force be inversely proportional to the new (larger) tires circumference, ie., 110% larger tire = 90.9% traction force available as compared to the tire just removed.

For tire sze calculator, try http://www.car-videos.com/info/tirespecs.asp.

Cheers,
Brett
