Post Rusted right rear brake assembly.

Does anybody else a have 1997 F150 with the right rear brake assembly covered in rust. I have seen several others besides mine.
The trucks that I have seen with this problem have the exhaust exiting in front of the right rear wheel. I'm curious if this maybe the problem or is it just a coincidence.

That's what I've heard too. Supposed to turn the center cap green too. They must have figured it out early on in the production run, because I have a 97, but it has a build date of 3/97, and it has the exhaust exiting behind the rear tire. I don't have any rust on my rear brakes.

In really cold areas, it was said to actually freeze up the rear brake. Must be all the moisture that pours out when cold.
