It happened again this morning. I pulled out of the driveway, headed down the street and applied to brakes to stop. At less than 20 KM/H, I just about got launched thru the windshiled (seatbelts do save lives
and the rear wheels actually locked up on dry pavements AND screeched. 2 questions. Can a little overnight rain causes the brakes to behave this bad initially? And why did the rear wheels lock up with my so called "anit-lock" brakes? Any input is appreciated as Im sure my dealer is gonna say things are fine if I take it in.
Thanks

Thanks Buckdropper (like the name) you just solved my brake problem too. When the brakes are cold and after it has rained my first stop the brakes always seem to catch a little. Figured it was just wetness, then again it is probably do for pads anyways.

My guess is the rotors are getting rusty, then for the first few turns they get cleaned off as you keep pushing harder. Once they are clean and you are now pushing hard on the pedal, they grab and lock before the ABS can do anything about it. Mine rust when I wash it, and the first few stop is not very confidence inspiring.
I'd check them for rust after it rains and before heading out to see if it has anything to do with it.
