Question Squeek, Squeek!!!

I didn't have this problem until I changed my front pads. It squeeks only OCCASIONALLY when I release the brakes and am driving below 30mph.

I am 99% sure it is NOT the caliper pistons sticking. I think the pads are in slight contact with the rotors when I release the brakes. Could the pads just need to be "worn down" a bit before they operate normally??

I was going to leave it, to see if it goes away---brakes work great, other than noise....

Anyone else have to deal with this???

I did lube the slide pins and put a little grease on the rails.

I noticed that the new pads don't have the "rubber lining" on the backing of the pads as compared to the OEM pads. I wonder if I should just buy the OEM pads. Any other suggestions?? Thanks.

There is a "glue" that you can buy for the brake pads. It keeps the pads from contacting the rotors when no pressure is applied. Just smear/spray (depending on the kind you buy) some on the backs of each pad & you'll have no rattles or squeeks.
