hope someone can help me. last night i engaged my parking brake (as i was parked on a hill), disengaged it and now the brake indicator light on my dash won't go out. i have a 98 f-150 xlt. the brakes are not pulling. i also found a rubber piece, round with a conical pointed end on the floor of the drivers side after this incident. any ideas?

that happenened to my 1998 f150 lariat, its an easy fix, remove driver side kick panel, your little rubber bushing goes on on your emergency break lever assy, look for the little hole it goes in, re install it with a little super glue, voila, dash light is now off!
