Question 97 wheels fit 2000?

the wheels I'm looking at are off a '97 f150--I've got a 2000 expidition. I think the '97's had 12mm studs(???). the 2000 has 14mm studs. I checked the hole diameter and they appear to be the same on the wheels marked 14mm and those not marked. The Hollander fitment guide read 12mm and 14mm wheels will interchange but it is "not recomended". Any thoughts would be appreciated

thanks, conner

If I'm not mistaken, '97 and '98 had 12mm lugs, while the '99's and up had 14mm lugs. You're able to put the 14mm wheels onto the older trucks, but not the other way around.
