Post Warnings

Hey, I've got some sort of problem with my breaks. First off, I know I am having some kind of oil like going on and am still trying to pinpoint that. But on my way back from KMart (which didn't have Herculiner in stock), my anti-lock break light and my regular break light lit up and don't want to go off. I'm sure thats some kind of warning but I cant find any info in Chiltons and I dont have an owners manual. Can someone help me out? 1995 F150 4x4 w/ antilock breaking

Unfortunately I can't be more descriptive. Well I can but it prettty much says the same thing. I turn the truck on, the ABS light comes on as usual, goes off as usual, and then lights back up and doesn't go away. The red break light I think stays on right from startup as it too goes on when you start her up anyway. She seems to be driving alright and if its just an ABS problem I may just let it slide for a while.

I assume you checked the brake fluid level? These lights do indicate a problem when the fluid level is low.

This can be a problem in the key switch the 95 I had would do the samething I found that some just moving the key slowley to the on postion would cause the lights to go off.
I now have a 1997 with a 4.2L V6 and love it we have driven 109150 trouble free miles togather the only thing have done 1 tune-up,change oil every 3000. miles and transmissiom fluid every 40000. miles and added one set of shocks at 90000. still have the OEM brakes Graywolf

Very interesting considering I just got a new locking cylinder put in before that started up. Must be it. Would you believe my lock went out and I replaced it on January 31 and had to replace it again in May?

Sounds like you bumped your parking brake (I did once).
