Unhappy Parking Brake Warning Light Switch

Can someone advise as to where to find the parking brake warning light switch on a 2000 F150 P/U?

Nothing lights up in you instr. panel when you press the parking brake? I wouldn't exactly call it a warning light, but my parking brake light on my 98 is on the far left of the panel.

The switch should be on the parking brake pedal racheting mechanism on left side of driver footwell. That's where I would expect it to be, but to be honest, I don't remember seeing it. Its probably there, just not something I remember. Look for a wire and connector, and follow it to the switch. Last time I was under dash, I was too busy looking at steering shaft upper connection, making sure I was remembering correctly, for another post about intermediate/lower steering shaft.

Also, welcome to the board! Lots of good info and people here!

Thanks TexasAg and Granpa,

Found the switch to be underneath the dash just in front of the rachet mechanism.
