Post Finally used my ABS

I have never been able to engage my ABS and tell if it worked or if I really had it, until last night.
We got a light dusting of snow that turned all the streets into sheets of ice. It was very easy for me to attempt to 'lock-em-up'. There was a pulsating vibration felt thru the brake pedal that was like going over a series of miniature railroad tracks and the sound was that of a turkey.
"Gooble-gooble-gooble", not a high pitched turkey. I'm talking about a turkey with 'stones'.

So if you ever get in a panic stop don't let up on the brake just because you think you're running over Thanksgiving Dinner.

That sound is as normal as I am.

You got your ABS to activate in the snow? Raoul, you are a MADMAN!

In all seriousness, I've only had mine come on once, and that was running over a man-hole cover in the rain while slowing for a stop sign. By the time I could dial Dr. Ruth on my cell phone, it was over.
