Is there anywhere that I can buy a conversion kit for my '97 4X4 to replace the drum brakes with disc like the '99s.

Don't know if there's a kit out, but there is always the salvage yard if you are lucky enough to locate a wreck. I would assume in addition to the mounts, rotors and calipers, you'll need the proportioning valve and master cylinder, plus the parking brake assembly. If it's the same ratio, maybe grab the whole rear end instead of doing it piece meal. Possibles added items needed are the rod on the brake pedal, lines and brackets.

You may also need a new master cylinder, and not sure what it will do to the anti lock system, and the computer.
