If your a 4x4 you shouldn't have any issues, I wouldn't take it out on the dunes. I'm sure you can ride along with one of us. I know I'll have room for you.

If it's a 2 wheel drive you should be able to make it out there. If you have any issues we can always hook up a tow strap to you and help you to the site. As long as you keep your momentum going you should be able to get around just fine near the beach. It's just when you go back into the dunes with dry sand it's a lot easier to get stuck.

even with steet tires youll be fine. maybe find a used set of all season on stock rims or something with a lot of tire and itll be better. more tire = more traction. and for the one with the 2wd with bfgs. (i forgot to quote.) youll do fine in the dunes. just air down to 15 and floor it up any big hills. fell your self digging stop and back up. i was doing 2wd with my bfgs at 15 all day in glamis. and that sand is fine.

just find some cheap tires on stock rims. like some 265s or what ever. put them in the bed and when you get there have one of us help you put them on at a gas station or on the beach and use those all weekend then when you leave put ur other rims back on. o and just worry about the back since the front isnt digging.

we have driven 40ft motorhomes there that weigh like 40,000lbs with the highway tires they come with, and trust me being that heavy they sink in the sand like pigs!

I have towed probably 5k pounds in with my 2wd truck, I did have bigger AT tires, but just get a good run at the soft stuff and hold it wide open and you will be fine to atleast get to camp! if you get stuck one of the 4x4 members will pull you right out as long as you dont keep trying to get yourself out and sink even deeper! bottom line your fine, especially if you pick up some cheap ATs for the back wheels.

i dont have a strap. but ill tow too. i've never failed towing out something. i've been towed out before yes! but it wasnt in sand. i high centered on some rutts. my rear left fell off the wrong ledge and BAM! couldnt get out. haha but again. since your 2wd just get some cheap o tires. if you can get bfg ats. they work GREAT! 15 psi and no problems. i road around on 2wd. just floor it and if you sink try and back up a little and if nothing STOP!!! well get you out.

Hey Sammy come join us to Pismo June 24th-26th. you got plenty of time to prepare for the trip. Would be a nice convoy from SoCal to meet and greet with Central Cali. So far George and I are coming.

Lets see if my buddy Sammy can make it to the meet; his truck is the grey F150 on this video I shot last weekend at Gorman CA. Hungry Valley OHV area.

Well if you all wanna play in the sand come over here. I just got to my deployment after a 3 day flight cause the plane broke but I got it fixed. Flew in during a sand storm. All you see as far as you can is sand. And we have plenty of toys here to pull people out. Haha

Haha, glad you finally got there. I think Pismo's good enough for me, I don't like the heat. Stay safe out there.
