Recommendation for true dual installation near San Fernando Valley or LA

Looking for anyone who has gone to a shop near SFV, LA, Santa Clarita, Ventura that installed true duals. The shops I've visited today either have no clue and/or seriously gouging with prices.

Thanks

I was just asking migdaddy about a good shop in the Ventura area. I liked the work at the place that lowered my truck: Major Muffler in Santa Monica. But then they weren't doing exhaust work for me. but the owner was still cool and the price was fair. Good luck with your search

Thanks. I went to 4 shops today and they're all ranging from $300 to $600 more than others are getting the work done here. It's crazy! One shop quoted me $750 just for piping and labor (and I supply everything else)!!! WTF?

Dude, that's LA prices. You can always try going to the boonies, but then the work quality might be an issue. Mig had suggested a place in Thousand Oaks called Competition Muffler.

THanks for the lead. Thousand Oaks is 15 minutes from me. I'll go and check 'em out. I'm about to head to a particular Midas right now for a quote that a buddy told me was pretty good.

Midas WILL rip you off. Go over to competition muffler. Tell Tim or Brad Matt Glick sent you. Brad is a bit of a crack head but he does good work. Tim works for him and does real good work. There prices are pretty competitive and the work is legit. I paid $100 for new 3" SS pipe from the Y all the way back. Duals should cost you $200-$250 for pipe and labor. I would expect to get out of there for under $300 for a true dual setup. Obviously this is if your supplying the mufflers, tips, and crossover. (I would have them make an H pipe instead of using an X, personally)
