Off-Roading around Phoenix
AMMO haha sweet, i work sheet metal at Davis Monthan, I haven't had a chance to get up to that area yet, but from what i have researched Phoenix seems to be the place to be, if your looking for mud they have some sort of mud jamboree up there every few weeks a friend has been nagging me to go but im not a big fan of the stuff haha its like $10 to get into the event and another $10 to run the mud pit, unfortunately i don't have the particulars of what its called or where exactly its at im sure if u ask around someone might know, as for finding other sweet off-road spots try this:
http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/t...izona_list.htm its kinda geared towards dirt bikes but most areas are open to all types of vehicles, i personally have tried out Agua Caliente (not that great at all), Mt Lemon control trail (probably my favorite to date), and i have been up to Redington pass several times and its pretty cool as well

Yeah I have been asking around and I was told to take exit 114 on the I-10 and that would take me to some dirt roads that are fun to drive down when it rains, and it just so happens that we are getting mad amounts of rain right now. How is the drive up Mt. Lemmon? I have been wanting to check it out but I have not made it up there yet?
Haha i know it rained mad hard here last night, Mt. Lemon is nice, the tourist drive up on pavement is lame but the Control trail is sweet, you start in oracle and wind up through the hills and eventually up the mountain, starts off with some awesome mountain and valley views and then as you get further in its all woods, and i even saw some deer when i went, its a seasonal road tho its closed right now till march i think because they get snow up there, but basically you pop out at the top and then just take pavement back down its a neat trip entire thing takes about 4 hours or so
I will have to check that out, sounds sweet
Try Cave Creek/Carefree area, near lake bartlett.
