That stinks. We use laptops to work on the jets and they used to have internet access. Thankfully that was taken away.

Hope you get to make it.

Angry Uh, don't freak out yet but....

My move date just moved up by 2 months. Sooooooooooo, I am starting the position on July 17th. Now I am still kicking and screaming with my fiance about going, but if I do it's probably going to be just me again as we now have 3 weeks to: pack out existing house, she has to find a job out there, we have to find a place to move into, finish planning our wedding, tell our families, work, rent a truck, move and unpack at least some of our stuff. So, things will be kind of crazy to say thee least. We also have plans all this weekend. I am not even supposed to be on the computer right now, lol.

So I have to down grade myself to 75% from 100%. I am not trying to be a flake and I know this trip date was based upon what was available to me, but the guy who signs my paychecks just pulled the rug out from under me.

Damn..I'm gonna be out in Cali from July 7th to the 27th. If I had a ride I'd go, but I don't think my aunt will let me take her new EB Expy 300 miles up to the beach for some wheelin.

EDIT: Well, it's about 225 miles, but still. Anyone from Huntington Beach headed up there?

Funny story. The company (B of A) was going to open a new office out of either Denver or out of the headquarters in Charlotte. Now they did a rapid green light on Phoenix. Start date is 7/17/06. So no snow or tree's but back to the desert heat. Oh well, happens. Just hope my A/C holds up...black on black...I bought because I loved the combo and finally lived in a climate that would be bearable.

Thanks, I really am still trying my hardest to make it to Pismo. I want to see how your truck handles the dunes Keith.

I just sorted through more houses online than I'd care to shake a stick at. The only nice thing about L.A. is that you say you only want to spend $1800-$2000 and you get 5 listings. In Phoenix/Queen Creek I was looking at some houses to rent (not apartments, yeah!) and I got over 250 listing in thee $750-$950 range, lol.

Ok, so I'm trying to rent this travel trailer for the Pismo trip. I need one of you guys to let me know exactly where will be camping at. Also, with a travel trailer do I need reservations for a camp site, etc.

Can someone please help me with this? If you can, PM me and I'll give you my cell number. Thanks.

You dont need reservations for camp sites, you can actually drive your tralier anywhere you can get it to. Most people park on the beach near the water, but while you drive back into the dunes you'll find people way back there with their trailers.

I think they charge trailers as another vehical, so $20 total a day.

Last time they still had past mile marker 6 on the beach side closed for birds, and I believe we were between mile marker 3 and 4 where we stayed (last pismo trip).

Hope that helps.

Oh and they have huge water trucks for fresh water and trailer dump water coming around, but you wont need it for only the 2 days.

Yeah, thanks that helped a little. Looks like everything is booked for that weekend and the only one I found that's not won't let me take their trailer on the beach. I shouldn't have told them, huh? Oh well...too late now.

Hey Chris, have you seen the lifted F-150 on 40" Open Country's, Road Armor bumpers f+r w/warn 9k lb winch, 22" Moto Metals, grey in color. He's on FTW and from Indio and maybe you two can ride up together, he has a great truck. How big is Indio anyway. I linked him here so he'll be around shortly probably.

Here is his gallery.

His gallery says Lake Forest, CA. Thats like, a couple hours from here. Indio isn't too big, about 50,000 people at last census time, 98% Mexican. I'm one of a few caucasians left. In the Coachella Valley (Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Thermal) there's about 350,000 year round residents. It swells to almost 600,000 from about Oct-Nov all the way to June. This is in an 84 square mile area. Look it up sometime, fascinating history really. Lots of Indian artifacts buried here, old Hollywood celebs, etc..
