Question Oil pan question?

I have a 1995 Ford F150 XL Supercab that I just purchased with 5.0L engine and automatic transmission. I have found that the oil pan is rusting through in places and seeping oil. My question is that I'm seeing that some trucks have front sump and some have rear sump. How do I know which one I have so I purchase the correct one?

As far as I know, all the 80-96 f-150s have a rear sump. This means that the pan will be very deep in the back of the engine. Perhaps it makes a difference is in 4x4 or not, but I dont think it matters. Front sump means that the pan will be deep in the front where the sump is. Just look at it and see where the deep part of the oil pan is (front or rear). This will be where your oil plug is.
