Any word on the AEM Brute Force intakes for the 4.6 & 5.4?

I'm about to order an intake and am looking for an lternative to the K&N - at $240, there must be an intake that's as good. After all, it's a tube with a cone filter... not exactly complex stuff.

I want an intake with the heat shield. I don't care if it's shiny and pretty - I usually drive with my hood closed.

Any suggestions?

Man what a nice looking intake, is what I have to say about it!! It's got to be at least semi-available right now, because they just did a how-to in the latest Sport Truck magazine. It is hands down the BEST looking intake I've ever seen for late model F-150's, plus it has a heat barrier that bolts right onto the factory mounting points. Did I mention it looked great, lol! ,,,,98
