Hey Galaxy.....how did ya do that? Thats what I need. I use synthetics and only run about 5000 miles a year. I only change oil once a year but I will change the filter every 6 months. I plan on keeping it for quite while so that would be real handy.

Anything I can do to make maintenance easier. My back ain't what it used to be.

i remember the first time i went to change my oil. i looked up and down that engine block for 20 minutes. i was pissed when i couldnt find it. i cursed ford for making the filter hard to get at and figured they wanted you to take it to the dealer for oil changes. as i slid out from underneath my eyes made up with it under the bumper about the best damn idea ive ever seen. i can literally change the filter standin up!

On my wife's 4.6 I turn the wheels to the left and the filter is easy to get to. I only realized this the third time I changed it, felt silly as hell when I realized how easy it was with the wheels turned.

Otter. You can change the filter standing up? How tall are you? I keep whacking my head on the air dam!

I do the same thing...turn the wheels all the way to the right before an oil change. I don't use a jack, stands, or ramps, though. I just crawl underneath at unscrew her. This is the easiest way that I have found.

The wheels straight ahead on a set of Rhino Ramps works great for me

no ramps needed on a 4x4 don't even need to turn the wheels. Just get an end cap wrench that fits what filter you use (I use an fl820s) there is plenty of room for a standard 3/8" socket wrench in there to get the filter started.

get yourself a fumoto drain valve and an oil change can take 10 min or less!
