MAF Mod

Hello,

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I couldn't find a place for intakes/air and such.

I saw a tech bulletin once that explained how to mod a MAF by drilling on it and other things. Does anyone know what I am talking about or know where I can find it. If someone knows about it.....is it worth it?

THanks,

Cool

It's not recommended for 99 and up trucks with the plastic MAF. Hell, it's not recommended for ANY of them. I have the post eliminated from mine, and it actually did help a little. No CE light or any adverse effects, but I'm one of the lucky ones from what I've heard. I wouldn't do it if I were you. I do have an extra stock MAF body to switch out in case I do run into any problems.,,,,98

People on this board have strong opinions either way on this subject.

I seem to recall there being a post about this around a year ago. Try searching the site for MAF. Should turn up something.

Anyone tried this? Sounds easy enough and makes sense.

Thumbs down

Unless I'm mistaken, ALL MAF's made after 98 or 99 are the plastic ones that are easy to screw up while trying this mod. If you have a plastic MAF, I wouldn't try it!! ,,,,98
