Dennis:

That's funny you brought up the drain plug. I replaced mine the first time I did an oil change. I striped it with a wrench I had because it was torqued on so damn tight.

Thinking about keeping some spares, so when the time comes to sale it the guy that looks underneath there will see a nice new shinny one...

If you are going to sell your truck........

Put an Amsoil sticker on the back window even if you never change the oil. It will increase the resale value.

Never can tell about these **** retentive maintenance fanatics. They practically wax the paint right down to bare metal. They wear out the hood latches from checking fluids and wiping down their engines whenever they're not behind the wheel.

You want to take about someone ****. A friend of mine a few years back had an older car. I think it was a Buick. Anyway when ever he did maintenance, oil change, plugs, etc he would write it with a marker on the inside of the hood.

I asked him why he did that (there was alot of writting on it, looked like a damn noval) his answer was he was worried if he kept it in a log he may loose it, or it might end up in a fire. That is no BS. I asked him if he had ever heard of an "engine compart fire".

Needless to say after that he kept a log book, and continued with the noval under the hood...

And you thought I was ****...

can't remember where I left my damn marker....

I have never waxed any of my trucks........I really don't think it does any good or offers protection. I keep it clean but never waxed.
