Unhappy Loss of power and acceleration

Hi All!
I have a situation that has me really worried.
Does anyone have any knowledge or firsthand experience on following situation on my pickup?
I have a 1998 Ford F150 with a V6 engine and 71,000 miles.
Whenever I am driving down the highway with the A/C on,
I sense a loss of power and acceleration whenever I going at about 40-50 mph
and I need to go 60 mph.
I can feel the engine running somewhat rough during at this point.
When I came to a complete stop, the whole truck shaking from the rough idling.
I immediately shut off the pickup at this point. When I restart, the engine starts fine
and it is idling OK also. Lately, I have noticed that the A/C is making more noise on the
outside. I keep regular intervals of oil changes(Quaker State 4x4 10w-30),air filter
changes, and spark plugs(Bosch platinum). Furthermore, I replaced the wire set ASAP when I
saw an electrical arc between the middle spark plug wire set and the engine support.
This would occur when I would high rev the engine in park and the A/C on.
Do I have a serious problem or soon to be serious problem? What can I do resolve this
problem?
I will appreciate replies on this very much.
