my 98 4.6 pings some and ive read on here that after putting on a mod or something, you have to reset the computer, and ive heard that doing this can eliminate pinging. How do you do this?

 

I think you disconnect the battery, and turn on the headlights to get any power out, let is sit about 5 min, then hook the battery up and you should be set,

Yep, just turn your headlights on and disconnect the negative battery cable. The manual states your supposed to let the engine idle for atleast 5 minutes after resetting the computer to allow it to 'relearn' the idle properties.
