i would have fixed up my Z if i didn't total the car.

by the way i think one of the reason you don't see too many of those WRXs is becuase they limit the production every year to about 10k. not sure though.

don't feel bad my friend has one and he beat a porsche boxter (not the "S" type and both were stock)

 

I still kick myself for selling mine It was about five years ago, and the thought of converting it to a V-8 never crossed my mind. It was a medium slate blue 77 2+2, the one that has that XKE looking hump in the roof. I loved it, but the engine was junk.,,,,98


A little longer than the average Z, but I like the flatter roofline Makes it look better, IMO. Of course I'm weird

 

The new Subaru's have a turbo option stock. They are formidible.

 

As long as were mentioning fast cars...
Mine is a 1956 MGA with a 283 ( I know, it's not a Ford ), 4 speed and 411 posi. Not for the faint at heart.

i have never seen those 280Zs and today was the first time i saw one. it was brown.
i asked the lady if she is selling it and she said "no way"
i tried....

 

There was a ricers in front of me at a light it turned green he took off slow I rode on him real close trying to get him to go well he got the message so he punched i was going to stay with him but my radar detector started to go off a little so i just stayed out of it a few hundered feet down the road coming from the other direction I seen the blue lights come seen the cop make the quick U turn and the rice boy was getting pulled over and I just laughed when I drove by

 

My next door neighbor is a specialist in restoring those old Datsuns ( Nissan). At any given time he has the 240, 260, and 280Z's lined up in front of his house. He strips down the engines, does performance mods, re-bores engines, body work...he's even flown to japan to work on restoration projects overseas. The guy is always busy... those cars are fast as hell when he is done with them.
