^&(%^$(^$(&*^%(*&%^()!!!!!!!!Belt squealing AGAIN!!!
This guy pulled the PS pump completely off, which was one of the problems when I picked the truck up. The oil cap was on the rad cover, which caused the cover to crack, the p/s pump bolts were hanging out 1/4 inch, the squeal the next morning, etc... etc... I still want to mail that tech a box full of dog poop, lol!,,,,98
I couldn't wait for Saturday So I went in today. I'm so happy right now you wouldn't believe it. The squeal is GONE!!!! Thank you to anyone and everyone that suggested a Gatorback belt!! Truly an amazing difference! After three belts and tensioners from Ford, it's finally fixed!,,,,98
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I had the same problem with my 94! I had to replace the belt about every 8 months and never had a problem after that. So if you get about 24+ months out of the Gatorback it payed for itself. Your right about the noise, makes you feel like your in a $150 beater

Geez, it was embarrassing huh? I found myself hanging way back from Chevy and Toyota trucks
at stoplights. etc.. The sound was unbelieveable. There was a constant whirring noise like a bad alternator, then a whole range of chirps, squeaks and squeals on top of that. It got worse when you turned the a/c or heater on, or accelerated more than normal. Now it's quiet as can be. Simply amazing what one piece of rubber can do
