pulleys
Spaceman,
As with anything you have to make sure the mod fits the application. A regular clutched fan moves little air at idle, and electrics can move much more given proper voltage.
I haven't switched to electrics yet, but probably will. Increased mileage along with quicker warm ups alone is worth it IMO.
As for cooling with pulleys alone my truck actually seems to cool better. There is a slight wave of the temp gauge under high load at lower revs which seems to be a result of the water moving slower. Once the stat reacts the temps stay down great.
As with any mod, done wrong it can cause problems. This also happens with chips, intakes, exhaust work, etc.
