a few months ago my truck has started to have small problems. the first was a light started to flash and i am not really sure what to do. I think it is the air bag it looks like a person sitting down on a chair and a semicircle coming out of the steering wheel. then my alarm system system stopped working. when i pressed the button to set my alarm it would honk the horn and lock my doors. but now when i push the button it only locks and unlocks the doors. what was really strange was that one day i got out of my truck and left the engine on for some reason and when i came back i noticed i left the keys in so i pushed the button to unlock the truck and my alarm started to go off... it started to honk like crazy like it normally did when the alarm went off. I thought this was kind of strange since it stopped working but it worked at that moment for some reason. and then the next day some bastard cut me off and i had to vent and my horn did not work. so i tried to push it really hard and it didnt work! and then i was cruising on the freeway and i wanted to put my cruise control on. it had worked for me for the last year that i owned the truck but this time it just did not work. and last but not least i tried to put my parking brake on and it just snapped the wire it just stayed down after pressing it with my foot. none of these problems have stopped me from my daily driving and they dont seem too bad to me. but i dont think they were a coincidence, they all seem to originate or are close to the steering column... except for the parking brake. anyone wanna give me any advice on what the problem could be or what would be the most important thing to fix first. 94 f150 xlt 5.8... otherwhise it runs perfectly with no prob

 

If your horn is not working and the air bad light is flashing more than likely it is your clockspring gone bad. The code is the airbag light flashes three times then pauses and flashes two more times. My 97 started doin it and finally I asked my mechanic buddy what was wrong. Also the clockspring controls your cruise control. It its messed up the cruise will not work . The part is not too high, i think bout fifty bucks, but you do have to pull the steering wheel, being very careful because of the airbag. I think it took us about an hour and we were being very careful disabling the airbag.
