Pulleys

Is there a difference between ASP pulleys and BBK pulleys? The BBK is a three piece and the ASP are a two piece. The Three piece I can get for about $50 less but is it as good? Does anyone know if there is a reason that i should spend $50 ? Also I have heard that you will need a different belt. Is it true that a mustang belt will work with these pulley's?

Yes you will need a new belt when changing out pulleys.

On the 2-piece ASP pulleys, you can use the stock belt. But I do recommend buying a new one when you do the pulley swap. I have over 5K miles on mine and no problems so far. There's a few others using the stock belt as well.

Go with ASP. The 3 piece set usually causes charging and/or overheating problems.

Could a person Buy the BBk pulley system and leave out the alternator pulley. I am with Roushfan-1 they are expensive. I think I might get the BBK set and leave out the alt. pulley unless someone can tell me why ASP is better. Is a pulley a Pulley?
