Valvoline Synpower
Does anybody have any comparison test between Valvoline Synpower versus Amsoil, Royal Purple, and Mobile 1 Valvoline is made in the same factory as Motorcraft Oil.
I don't have any comparisons, but I have always used Valvoline Synpower, and I am up to 106,000 miles now, and I have never had any problems at all that were oil-related. I change oil and filter about every 5,000 miles. I have always used SynPower in every vehicle I have ever had, and I have never had the first problem out it, ever. I think it saved my engine one time, actually, I had an 86 Ranger with the 2.9 and my radiatior burst on the side of a mountain and I drove it until it got so hot the gagues stopped working, and I got home and changed radiators and it kept on like nothing had ever happened. I had to replace a wire or two where they had melted under the hood, but the engine had no problems. That was the first vehicle I had ever owned outright, and that's what sold me on SynPower. I am sure that most of the Synthetics are comparable to each other, after a point it's just personal preference.
