Superchrger Add-On?????

What needs to be done to add the Supercharger to a regular 5.4 engine? I'm talking the Ford unit they put on the Lightning. Programming? Anything else? Can it even be done? Thanks

This topic has been covered fairily often here in the engines section and on the superchargers section. You might want to do a search to see what was said in the previous threads.

I think the general consensis is, it's entirely possible but quite complicated and very expensive. It's more than just the blower that seperates the Lightning 5.4 from the others. I think that it would be more cost effective to go with an aftermarket supercharger kit, that is specificly designed to fit on your truck.

If you've got the cash, go with a crate Lightning 5.4.
