Cool

Hi jpm42984

Get the intake first and then get your headers and exhaust done, also change the factory Y pipe it`s a piece of junkand a big restriction in the exhaust.

Hope this helps.

Larry.

No disrespect to anyone who responds to this post but IMO you should start backwards and work your way up. Exhaust, Y pipe collector, Cats if you want to burn some dough and then the headers. Otherwise the fruits of your labor (and your wallet) will have a little more seat of the pants feel!!!
IMO, Having fun Doing this is the very most important thing!!!

Not knowing all the details I.E. what brand of exhaust he used, I can not answer that question. Only to say that a Borla system sounds gooood!
Maybe it the fact that it was a Firebird had something to do w/ it!!!HEE HEE

I made my choice based on my finances. I had an extra two hundred to spend and not six hundred, so I did the intake first. I agree with peties...go Borla. T-304 SS will last longer than us or our trucks and they have a great, low, throaty sound, but not annoying. Expensive though, $500-$600, but worth it. I'll be doing a chip from Mike, JBA headers, and the Y next.

Based on all I've read over the past 15 months on these message boards, undoubtedly the biggest bang for the least amount of bucks is the "Y" pipe. It makes sense even if you keep the stock muffler & tailpipe. As of today 7/4/01, my "Y" pipe is on order from racerpartswholesale. I will report results after it's installed.

PS: Here come the arguments!
